Hello out there! I hope you are doing OK with the training, it is quiet but I know that this time of year is busy for you guys. Here is this weeks schedule:
Mon - OFF
Tue - Run: 30 minutes
Wed - Swim: 400 yards
Thu - BRICK: 30 min bike/10 min run/20 min walk
Fri - Swim: 500 yards

Focus on finishing each workout strong. Focus on the end goal; crossing the finish line. Focus on how your body feels when you are done with each workout and you know you have accomplished that day's training goal. Be strong, rest when you need to. Most of all, have fun with it!

Have you guys signed up for the triathlon yet? If you are finding it hard getting motivated I have found that since I have signed up and paid for my events very motivating! I encourage you to sign up if you haven't, it is GREAT motivation.
ReplyDeleteWeek 2 was better for me. I didn't quite follow the schedule b/c my PT said not to run. So I swam on Tuesday and Friday and biked on Wednesday. Tried out a Trek 1.2 bike. It was great. Sooo much different than mine. Too expensive though. Maybe in a couple of months.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on getting back into the schedule this week.
As for signing up. I decided to train a little more. I'm also scheduled to get my eyes corrected the week before and it may not be a good idea to swim in a lake. So I'm looking for a new one. I'm a little upset about it. The one in Akron looked like a great one for beginners. I'm not sure what Rach will do. We're you planning on coming for it?
Becky - definitely take it easy, hurting yourself will only hamper the effort as a whole. Good idea taking a break. Are you getting Lasik? Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI have a huge project going that weekend you were looking at so I was not going to make it but if you find another one please let me know, I would love to come in and do it with you.
Trek makes a great bike. They are pricey. I tried a Cannondale and fell in love but just can't spend that money.
I am doing a half marathon in December in Las Vegas. They are shutting down the entire strip for it, I cannot wait. So I am training for both my triathlon in October and the 1/2 in December. It has gone well so far, trying to take my time so I don't get injured. Very excited though.
